Enjoy the surroundings at the Matlock Rugby Club, Cromford. In Cromford village there are cafes and restaurants and the terminus of the Cromford Canal has a craft shops, cafe and rides on a horse drawn old working barge.
There is fantastic walking nearby - the Derwent Valley Heritage Trail follows the canal to Ambergate and the Midshire Way and High Peak Trails intersect close-by.
Matlock Bath is a 30 minute walk away.
4 miles away, being held on this weekend, is the Cromford Steam Rally.
Cromford Steam Rally was first established in 1970, the show was held on Cromford meadows in the village of Cromford, as the show grew, it moved to High Acres Farm, Dewey Lane Tansley, Brackenfield where it resides today.
