Change in Process - Rally statistics
Milestone rally plaques are given out when members attend a significant number of rallies. The first milestone is 100 rallies and then every additional 100 ie 200, 300 etc.
Similarly, for marshalling rallies, the milestones are 25, 50, 75, 100 etc.
The committee has agreed that with immediate effect, we adopt a system which Derbyshire members can opt into by self-reporting the rallies they have attended.
How will this work? In July/August members who wish to work towards the milestone plaques will be asked to send in their statistics for the year. This can then be verified by the Statistics Officer. Any milestones achieved will be announced as usual at the AGM.
Why is this change being implemented? Feedback from the rally field seems to indicate that members are less concerned about working towards milestones these days. Only 12 members attended more than 10 Derbyshire rallies in the last 12 months which is very different to the statistics 20+ years ago. However, for the members who are keen to maintain their statistics, they are able to opt in by self-reporting.
