Thank you for taking the time to visit my welcome page and to learn a little more about me.
My first rally was in 2016 at Ashford in the Water. We arrived on the rally field at 9pm having had a difficult journey with diversions, detours and downpours. Luckily, our marshals made us very welcome and we had a fantastic weekend despite the very vocal cockerels waking us up in the early hours.
A few months later, I volunteered as Treasurer for the Centre and undertook this role until June 2020. After taking a break from Committee responsibilities, I returned in October 2023 as Webmaster.
I am passionate about rallying and the opportunities it offers to get out and about, almost all year round. Each rally site offers something unique and recently we celebrated our 100th rally milestone.
I will do my best to look after the interests of Derbyshire Centre during my time as Chair. In return, all I ask of Derbyshire members is that you support the Committee. We are human, we make mistakes and we have feelings!! Our entire reason for existing is to put on rallies for us all to enjoy. Please work with us to ensure the Derbyshire Centre flourishes and remains one of the best Centre to rally with. We have an amazing County to explore and the rally programme reflects that.
I currently live in Derbyshire with my husband and 2 dogs. Outside of caravanning you will find me walking, cooking, reading, line-dancing and gardening. I enjoy spending time with family and friends on and off the rally field. I have taken early retirement but do some casual work invigilating exams and help with my husband’s voluntary work for the Commonwealth War Grave Commission.
