About the event

Sadly, due to a field visit today to assess the ground conditions the Committee have had to make the difficult decision to cancel our Easter Rally at Chatsworth. This has not been an easy decision, but we have made it early enough to give people chance of changing their plans for Easter.

The ground today is absolutely saturated with water coming up when standing on foot and some places under water. We are cautious that if we were to go ahead it would only end up being a mud bath and having units stuck. We also don’t want to risk damaging the ground that could potentially lead us being in a position that we could not be welcome back at Chatsworth in the future.

We appreciate that this news is not great, but we hope you understand the committee’s decision.

The treasurer will start to make refunds to those already paid their invoices.

Apologies again.

The Derbyshire Centre Committee.

Join us for our Easter Bank Holiday Invitation Rally with The Nottingham Centre at Chatsworth House.

Chatsworth House is home to the Devonshire family, and has been passed down through 16 generations.

Explore Chatsworth Garden, the ever-evolving garden surrounding one of Derbyshire’s most popular country houses. The 105-acre garden is the product of nearly 500 years of careful cultivation and includes an arboretum, rock garden, fountains, sculptures and more.

Marvel at the historic and modern waterworks, discover hidden gems or find your own favourite spot – the historic garden has something for everyone.

The farmyard has been a favourite day out for children since 1973. There are so many farmyard friends to meet, from Eugenie the rare breed Suffolk Punch mare to Grace the pygmy goat.

The woodland playground offers hours of adventures and excitement for all ages, with a zipline, water and sand play.

From Chesterfield follow the A619 as you approach the roundabout at Baslow take the first exit towards Baslow Village and then take your immediate left and headtoward the Golden Gates.

Please Note that if you approach from the Buxton side along the A619 you MUST go past the enterance and go around the roundabout and come back on yourself to save any congestion.
