Since our last blog we have held 4 rallies.  Shardlow Marina with 15 units, Bridlington Royal Yacht Club with 45 units (staying 3 or 4 days), Hutton-le-Hole with 13 units (staying 4, 5 or 6 nights) and Lee’s Meadow Bavarian Bierfest 21 units (staying 2 or 3 nights).   I think it’s fair to say we left the hot, sunny weather in North Yorkshire!

On the Sunday evening at Bridlington we shared the draft Rally Programme for 2027,  at the same time posting it onto our website and Facebook group.  So far we have marshals confirmed for around 5 rallies.  Please consider volunteering to marshal or co-marshal one or two of these rallies. 

As you might expect, the list has changed already with additions, extensions and amendments. 

It came to light (through a member of another Centre) that there might be a problem with the site we had planned to rally on near Weymouth.  We followed this up with HQ and it appears that the proper licenses are not in place to use this site’s rally field.  Consequently, we have sourced another site a little further along the coast. 

Once the current changes have been confirmed, we will share the updated list along with details of the marshals. 

We used our new information banner for the first time at Bridlington which should remove the need to put out several, separate signs when marshalling and the Derbyshire Centre mugs were made available to purchase. 

Just a reminder that we will be needing a new Secretary at the next AGM.  We would love to have a regular rallier, who is passionate about rallying, join us in this role.  The key tasks are surrounding the administration of the Centre Committee meetings (all held on-line), collation of and responding to correspondence, ensuring that the AGM notices and arrangements are carried out appropriately and generally supporting the administration of the Centre.  If anyone is interested in this role, please contact me or our current Secretary, Ant for a chat.
